We encourage our members to further develop the knowledge provided by our professors. We serve as an intermediary between the students and the professors. Also, we promote acitivities to exhance the social, intelectual and professional progress of our members.

Computer Science Student Association was created 20 years ago. Currently, it has been key for our Intercollegiate Programming Competitions. The AECC association is affiliated with the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM).

Mission

The mission of our association is to promote different activities to offer our members all the necessary tools to be succesfull in their personal and professional life.

Community

Computer Science Student Association

The sense of community within our association is what make us special. This is a free space to discuss any type of problem that the members may have. All of our members have a sense of comradery. If any of our member has a problem, we help each other.

Activities

Workshops

Were are going to offer a variety of worshops in which we are looking forward that our members learn, practice, evolve and search for opportunities that meet their expectations and also help them growth during every phase.

Competitions

Each year we host of our already known Intercollegiate Programming Competitions. Where students from all the colleges of Puerto Rico comes to our college to prove who are the best programmers of Puerto Rico.

Our contest is divided in 3 categories:

  1. Noob (Freshman, sophomore)
  2. Expert (Junior, Senior)
  3. Alumni

Code Nights

We provide a free space of open and friendly enviroment in which our member can discuss, interact, and compete with fellow members. This help students improve their skills in their courses, it serve as a guide for programming competitions. Here, we have the chance to help one another to evolve as a better programmer.

Talks

If you have any doubt? Don't waited out! We will be given orientaions in different hours to inform all the students in the program about who we are and what is the mission we want to fufill. If you still have a doubt, send us a message or contact one of the members of our board of directors. We are here to help you, anytime.

Tutoring

We will be given sections of tutories for those members who are in need of them. They will be focused on courses of the Computer Science Department. The services may be given a few days before a test or for a mimimum group of 5 members.

Social Activities

Not everything is work with us. We want our members to have a little bit of fun. This is why we provide movie nights, games tournements, roadtrips, among other things. What are want to achieve with our social activities is to exposed to our members to get to know other members of the association to build friendships that could last years.
